HELLO.
I’m Julie Hagenbuch. I'm a writer and photographer who builds websites, plans storytelling events, and is always trying to filch away time to scan negatives.
I live in the tiny town of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, where I produce seasonal events for Stories on Tap and work one-on-one with storytellers to showcase their experiences publicly.
In days gone by, I was a coal country journalist, a dark room photography teacher, an intern at The Moth, a communications specialist in Nicaragua, and a recipient of a Pennsylvania Council on the Arts grant to document local farming. My work’s been featured in NBC Nightly News, Forbes, Global Voices, and in 2017, my audio piece "Our Issues Lie Between Us" was installed at the Samek Art Museum.
